Release International is welcoming the decision by the Pakistan Supreme Court to free Asia Bibi. The apex court upheld its earlier decision to acquit Asia Bibi on false charges of blasphemy.
Asia is now legally free to leave the country, after 10 years behind bars, eight of them on death row.
Release is warning of a possible backlash from Islamist extremists, and calls on Pakistan to protect its Christian minority.
