More dates
for Artless
IDOP 2024
As publicised in our April Voice magazine, following the overwhelmingly
positive reception of its play, If Prison Walls Could Speak, Artless Theatre
Company is continuing to tour the production this year.
Described by Premier Christianity Magazine as ‘bold,
innovative and shocking to the core’, the one-man drama
movingly portrays the story of Release International’s
associate ministry worker Petr Jasek (pictured), who
was imprisoned in Sudan in 2015 because of his
Christian work.

Festival in North Yorkshire in July we are pleased to

Our team of experienced
speakers are available to
join your church or online
meeting to help you support
and pray for persecuted
Christians. They would love
to hear from you!
It my seem a long way off but now
is a good time to start preparing
for this autumn’s International Day
of Prayer for the Persecuted Church
(IDOP).
IDOP is a well-established date in the
Christian calendar, and provides a
focused reminder of the importance of
praying for persecuted believers.
This year it falls on Sunday, November
3, although churches who regularly
mark the event will sometimes choose
another Sunday in November.
There are three ways you could become
actively involved this year:
First, Release International is taking
part in an online event on the day. We
will join friends from the Evangelical
Alliance, Open Doors and CSW in a live
online-streamed event at 7.30pm. We
will present a short film from one of
the countries we are actively involved
in and there will be times for people
watching to pray.
If your church does not have a regular
evening service you could consider
inviting friends round to watch the
online presentation. If you do have
an evening service (and you have the
facility to view online events) you could
ask your church’s leaders whether it
could be watched after, or as part of,
the service.
Secondly, Release International will
be providing downloadable resources
to support you, if you decide to
mark IDOP in your church (at any
point during November). These will
appear under the Get Involved section
of our website, where there is a
dedicated menu for IDOP each year
(releaseinternational.org/idop).
Finally, you could invite a Release
International regional speaker to
your church on a Sunday in November
to mark IDOP. See box on this page for
their contact numbers.
