SATURDAY 6: Praise God for
a new project supported by
Release International that
seeks to support pastors who
have endured persecution.
Pray that the Lord would use
this training and mentoring to
produce resilient pastors and
churches.
SUNDAY 7: Thank God for a
Release International project
training a new generation of
Christian leaders across Sri
Lanka. Pray that He would
work powerfully in and
through this initiative.
BURKINA FASO
MONDAY 8: Pray for our
partner, Pastor ‘Samuel’, and
his ministry to displaced
Christians. May God protect
him as he travels all over the
country and give him wisdom
on prioritising resources.
TUESDAY 9: Pray for the pastors
and churches ministering to
all the displaced people in
Burkina Faso; that Christians
will be helped to stand firm
and others will be brought
into the faith.
WEDNESDAY 10: Pray for
‘Annette’ and other widows
whose husbands have been
killed for sharing the gospel
and who have also been
displaced. Pray that they may
find support in their new
locations and God’s comfort.
THURSDAY 11: Pray for wisdom
for those displaced pastors
who are keen to return to the
places they left. May God’s call
to them be clear and may He
give them peace whether He is
calling them to stay or return.
FRIDAY 12: Pray that all the
displaced children whom our
partner is supporting through
educational programmes will
be able to learn and make
friends in their new situations.
SATURDAY 13: Pray for the
Government and security forces
battling the Islamist insurgency.
May they serve their people
with courage, justice and
integrity and restore peace to
their nation.
SUNDAY 14: Pray for those being
recruited into terrorist and
criminal gangs; that God would
call them out to a different life
and provide them with honest
ways to make a living.
BHUTAN
MONDAY 15: Bhutan’s
constitution provides for
freedom of religion; however,
in practice, evangelistic work
that seeks the conversion of
Buddhists is illegal. Pray that
Bhutan would open its doors to
a vibrant Christian witness.
TUESDAY 16: Christians are
prayershield
often viewed as followers of a
foreign, Western religion and
can be subject to various forms
of discrimination. Buddhists
who become Christians can
even lose their citizenship. Pray
that Christians would be able
to stand firm in their faith and
multiply.
WEDNESDAY 17: It is extremely
difficult for Christians to meet
publicly in Bhutan and church
buildings are illegal. Pray for
Christians who are forced to
practise their faith at home or
in secret.
THURSDAY 18: Converts to
Christianity endure threats
and pressures from local
community leaders and
Buddhist religious leaders.
Christians have lost jobs or
have been unable to find
employment because of their
faith. Ask the Lord to provide
for them.
FRIDAY 19: Though small
numbers of Bibles are allowed
into the nation legally, the
Government continues
