Keswick Convention Mission + Plus
Light in the darkest places - Release International
Tuesday 4 August 1.30-2.30pm
Release International is excited to be contributing to the Keswick Convention 2026 Mission+Plus programme. Join us with special guests Berhane Asmelash (Eritrea) and Hassan John (Nigeria) to hear how persecuted Christians are shining the light of Jesus in some of the darkest places in the world.
Dr Berhane Asmelash is a former prisoner of faith from Eritrea. He will share about what it is like for Christians in Eritrea to live under one of the most repressive political regimes on earth.
Hassan John has been serving persecuted Christians in Nigeria for two decades and famously broke the news of the Chibok kidnapping in 2014. He will share about how Christians
in Nigeria are continuing to persevere in the face of extreme violence.
This one-hour seminar will be hosted by Release International Engagement Manager Allister du Plessis. Sandwiches, snacks and drinks will be provided, as well as free Release International resources and copies of Berhane’s autobiography, Brother I have come to arrest you.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear the voice of persecuted Christians and discover how you can stand with them.
