In memoriam gifts of hope and love
In-memoriam or in-memory giving is the act of paying tribute or honouring someone you have lost by donating to charity in their name.
A gift to Release International in memory of your loved one can help share God’s love and compassion with persecuted Christians and their families.
Your generosity can provide shelter, food and free legal aid to persecuted Christian families. It can offer spiritual encouragement to those who are suffering for their faith in Christ.
Here are some different ways you can remember a loved one through a gift to Release.
Make a one-off gift
You can make a one-off gift online in memory of your loved one. And, we will ensure that it will be used effectively where the need is greatest.
Alternatively your gift in memory can be sent by post to:

If you can, please include a note with your cheque stating that this is an in-memoriam gift, and let us know a bit about your loved one and why you are making the gift.
If you would like to direct your gift to a specific country or area of our work, please let us know so that we can make sure that your donation is used in accordance with your wishes.
Collect donations at a funeral
Most funeral directors are happy to organise collections and send the donations to the charity you specify. These can be collected before, at and after the funeral. Sometimes families instruct friends and relatives to offer these gifts rather than floral tributes.
So, if you wish to collect for Release International at the funeral of a loved one please let the funeral directors know.
Gift Aid
You can increase the value of in-memoriam gifts by asking for Gift Aid envelopes from Release to help your family and friends to maximise the impact of their generosity.
Set up a tribute fund
A popular way of celebrating the life of a loved one is to create a tribute fund – a special way to remember a cherished family member or friend. Tribute funds are easy to set up and a great way to invite family members and friends to contribute too.
Once you set up your tribute fund you can add precious memories, share photos and, should you wish to, raise money in memory of your loved one.
