What better way could there be to stand in solidarity with persecuted Christians than by joining together to take communion with those who represent them?

And what better time than over Easter?

Release International is holding an on-line communion service on behalf of persecuted believers around the world on Maundy Thursday, April 1.

Release Partners

Conducting the service will be the Rev Imtiaz Ashraf and Release CEO Paul Robinson. It will also feature readings from Release International partners from Pakistan, Iran and India: Revd Waseem Khokhar, Rashin Soodmand and Pastor Kumar Swamy.

The event will feature hymns sung by Glenabbey Church, Glengormley, Northern Ireland.

‘At Easter we remember that Christ died once and for all,’ says Paul Robinson. ‘So let’s join together to remember our brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering today for their faith.

One body

‘We’re one body – and that body is growing, thanks to the determined witness of our faithful brothers and sisters. Together we have so much to be thankful for, and so much to pray for.’

Behold the Lamb is being held online on YouTube. You can register for your ticket here on Eventbrite. We will send you a link to join us on the night.

The event is free, and will include an opportunity to pray and provide practical support for Christians who are persecuted for their faith.
