Release International is backing new recommendations that would give the government teeth to tackle the growing problem of Christian persecution.
A review by the Bishop of Truro makes a number of key recommendations to the government, including the possibility of setting up sanctions against nations which persecute Christians.
Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt commissioned the report, declaring Christians to be ‘the most persecuted religious group in modern times’.
Release International was one of the key organisations invited to take part in the research by the Bishop of Truro, the Rt Rev Philip Mounstephen.
